Terms of Use
Effective 21 April 2026
1. Acceptance
By using the My Dabr mobile app or website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. The service
My Dabr provides prayer times, Qurʾān, duʿāʾ, and learning tools for Muslims. Core worship features are free and designed to work offline on your device.
3. Your licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable, revocable licence to use My Dabr. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app or its content beyond ordinary personal use.
4. Religious content — important
My Dabr is an educational tool, not a substitute for qualified scholars. Religious rulings, Arabic pronunciation, and ritual details may vary between schools of thought. Please verify important matters with a qualified teacher or your local masjid.
5. Prayer times — important
Prayer times in the app are calculated from astronomical formulas and the method you choose. They may differ from your local masjid's schedule due to methodology, rounding, or adjustments. We recommend cross-checking with your local masjid, especially for Fajr and Isha at high latitudes or around daylight saving transitions.
6. Intellectual property
The app code and design are © the My Dabr maintainers. The Qurʾānic Arabic text is in the public domain. The English translation used (Sahih International) is used with attribution. Third-party assets retain their respective licences.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use My Dabr in any way that is unlawful, attempts to compromise the service's security, or infringes the rights of others.
8. No warranty
The service is provided as is. We do our best to be accurate, but we make no warranty that prayer times, translations, or religious content will be error-free or suitable for your specific needs.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the My Dabr maintainers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
10. Termination
You may stop using My Dabr at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end the service (or your access to it) if you materially violate these terms.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on our waitlist or this page.
