Who we are

My Dabr is operated by the project maintainers. You can reach us at support@mydabr.com.

What the app collects

The My Dabr mobile app is designed to work without a server. Your settings, prayer logs, bookmarks, reading progress, and learning progress are stored only on your device. They are never transmitted to us.

If you enable optional crash reports, anonymised crash information may be sent to Sentry to help us fix bugs. This is off by default and can be disabled at any time in Settings.

Location

If you grant location permission, the app uses your coordinates on the device to compute prayer times and Qibla direction. Your location is never sent to our servers or any third party. You can deny this permission; the app will ask you to pick a city manually instead.

Notifications

Prayer time reminders are scheduled on your device. The app does not need to contact a server to send them.

Website waitlist

If you submit your email to our waitlist, the email is sent to Kit (ConvertKit) on our behalf and stored there so we can email you about launch. You can unsubscribe from any email we send, or contact us to request deletion.

Analytics

The app uses no analytics SDKs by default. The website may use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool (Plausible) to count visitors. No personal data is collected.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13.

Your rights

Where applicable law gives you rights over your personal data (for example, GDPR in the EU/UK), you can request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@mydabr.com. Because we do not hold personal data beyond your waitlist email, fulfilling these requests is quick.

Third parties we use

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the "Effective" date above and, for significant changes, notify people on our waitlist.
